7 Mistakes Business Owners Make with Graphic Design and On line Marketing

Coffs Harbour, NSW -

After making web sites for business, our company,
http://www.australianonlinemarketing.com, has found common mistakes that business
owners make.

While a lot of business web sites look good, they fail to communicate effectively
with the end user and with the search engines.

Many businesses are failing reach effective on line market share due to lack of
strategy and search engine optimization built into their web sites.

After our research we found a command thread of mistakes that bus ness owners make.

1. No web site at all. As we are getting close to 2006, it is amazing that many
businesses have not got a web site, or they do not understand how their businesses
can benefit on line.

2. Most businesses get their web site made by a graphic artist. Graphic artists do a
great job, however, most do not understand on line marketing strategies and search
engine optimization. We believe web sites should look good, function well, market to
the end user and be found by the search engines.

3. Lack of technology on line. The amount of web sites that are not using audio or
video on line is amazing. Businesses spend huge money advertising on the radio and
television, yet they fail to use these principals on line, in fact they could
increase sales up to 300% with the correct use of audio and video.

4. No what\'s in it for me. Allot of business talk allot about themselves and what
they can do. Although this has its place, the end client should be catered for 1st.

5. Not asking questions. Businesses cons tally fail in not asking their market about
themselves. A simply on line survey or questionnaire, can really make the on line
user feel that they are being \'heard.\" It also provides great information that the
business can use for market research.

6. Lack of newsletter subscriber opt in. In traditional online sales letters, there
are millions of sites which captures prospects email addresses. However, when it
comes to traditional bricks and mortars businesses online, very few actually use
this method to communicate with their market.

7. Offline systems to support the business website. Many businesses most forget
their websites in terms of offline marketing. Be it a simple form in a retail store
to sign people to their online newsletter, or even to direct their newspaper
advertising to their website, which can support a lot more information to their end
user. There are many systems business can use to help the effectiveness of the
website.
